My therapist thinks it's bad I prefer masturbation to sex. I don't have a partner, so I'm not neglecting anyone. They want me to stop. I only do it once every couple days. Why do they care so much? What's the big deal?
Probably a personal opinion against it that is interfering with their professionalism.
If it's really only once every couple days then there's absolutely no harm in it. It is possible to get addicted to it but that's not enough to really cause it. If it becomes more than once a day then it's becoming a problem.
Unless your therapy sessions are only a few minutes long, you probably could have found that out from your therapist.
So this is either nofap bait, or you need a new therapist because it sounds like you're incapable of communicating with them. Which is sort of what therapy relies on.

Have you asked your therapist why s/he thinks this?
Are you trying to get laid? Are you leaving that part out? Because that's the only reason I could see them bringing it up, and if so they're right, your brain won't be motivated or try hard to get sex when it can get the same stimulation from porn.
Otherwise though if you don't really care about that then I don't see why you should stop
