Is there a point in going to a New year's Eve party if you don't have friends to go with/aren't invited to any party/don't have plans?

I might be being very silly right now, but I had such an horrible year I feel the only way to start the new year the good way is drunk, dancing like crazy in a random club. It's not the first time I go out alone at night and have fun and meet people. Of course, this time it feels very weird to do it solo but whatever
TL;DR: Is it really important to go to a New Year's Eve party? is it going to change how my year is going to be if instead of staying home I go out by myself?
