In terms of progress, I have a rough events guide mocked up, and my programmer is making a very simple Renpys code base that I can simply add the dialogue and images to.
I still don't have all the names for the characters yet, but have the designs being mocked up this week. The final demo will not be a masterpiece, it will not contain any nudity to begin with and it will not be the greatest thing anyone has seen.
It will however be out on time. It will work. It will have dialogue, characters and a working script.
It will be free, without any stupid passwords. It will not contain more bugs than it started with. It will not be rar'ed beyond needed, or be delayed without reasonable cause. My Grandmother has already died, so has my grandfather. My dog is fit and well, and is a short little fuck so cannot get to my PC. My PC works fine, and I have a backup if needed. I do not have any mental health conditions aside from visiting here. Although I am relying on others, I am paying them for work, of which they will need to complete the work else they will not be paid. Thus, it makes sense they will reach the deadline. I have planned the demo to be no more than 30 minutes long, thus a reasonable and achievable goal. It will not have TEN THOUSANDS LINES OF CODE or SO MANY EVENTS or SHILL PLEASE I BEG YOU.
It will simply be a straight forward, honest and decent working demo to prove that not only can it be done on a cheap and reasonable budget, but done well and in a reasonable time.

Honestly, I think CGs dont work for these games, I mean Nukige of the length of Witch Trainer even with all the grinding(About 6 hours or so) tend to only have 15 CGs with a few variations, and thats the upper end. I plan to keep it under $300 or so, so prove that a budget of $500 is excessive for what is produced. I'm fine with being put in different rooms and being given choices in dialogue, but I don't want to move a shitty little sprite around a shitty overworld that looks like every other shitty RPGmaker game. If you gave me a wholly original character and world in terms of art style to control and move around in, respectively, then I'd play it and support it. But these fucking RPGmaker games always look like Pokemon. Ren'Py might be relatively unambitious when it comes to gameplay, but at least it's simple enough that creators are more inclined to put effort into a unique visual experience.

Full art resources for an RPGMaker style game generally run around 16,000 USD. With a market that is willing to pay something to the tune of 0 dollars ever, it's not difficult to see why these sorts of games rarely end up with custom art design.
I think part of the issue is that people seem to want a lot of art resources, and don't really care about the script, or the gameplay. That's why there are 10,000 eroge with everything BUT the art resources, that go completely un-noticed.
