what i tend to do is ink the sketch using the line art layer (sai paint), only leave the lineart visible and then recolor it in. Its the sketch shading that is the problem, becuz its to rough.

I've come to the conclusion that lip biting only looks good in real life or animation where the face is normal, then lip bite, then back to normal. At the very least a comic might work. A lip bite is a quick momentary expression of emotion that in a static still image just always looks weird to me.
