It depends from person to person. Some people are bound to argue that it's the sense of comfort they experience upon wearing them, the mix of security and vulnerability. I was playing with the idea of writing a story based on this picture. Would this be anything you guys would want to read?
>In the near future, Emily is back from college for spring break and her parents are going out on vacation leaving Emily, her bratty younger sister Kaitlin, and their robot maid Jenny home for the week. Emily has been very stressed from projects being due right before break and just wants to relax, but Kaitlin is being a snotty little punk so Emily decides to play a prank on her by changing Jenny from “Maid” to “Mommy” mode and setting Kaitlin as her charge. The next day Jenny wakes up and is acting completely saccharine and chipper, but ultimately isn’t doing that much to Kaitlin so Emily just gives up while Kaitlin continues tease and frustrate Emily.
>The next morning, Emily wakes up to Jenny coming into her room. Jenny starts treating Emily like a toddler which freaks her out. After breakfast, a package is delivered to the house that Jenny proud reveals is a pack of diapers for Emily! If you belong on 4chan, you should know exactly what it means. Tumblr artists have a terrible habit of ruining their pics by giving characters things such as large well-defined noses (often red to make them even more obnoxious), blushes on random body parts where it doesn't make sense, and freckles on characters that don't actually have them. It's a horrid aesthetic that clashes even worse when mixed with characters from other art styles.

Now that's something I can agree with. Even though $1000 per month is pretty high for a Patreon, it's a barely livable wage in the US or Canada. Which is why I don't think that other Anon is assuming that, actually. They acted like $12,000 is some impossible sum of money, rather than a nice supplement to a more stable income ($20,000+/year.)
Moreover, why the heck does it matter if an artist has a Patreon? People are clearly paying for it, so they must want what she's offering. I personally have seen too many artists renege on their promises via Patreon, so I'd rather pay for commissions directly. Other people enjoy the community aspect of it.
