Some sections of the wall were even reinforced with old vehicles, having been reduced to nothing more than hunks of metal due to hundreds of years sitting outdoors.
The only thing that worried Zoey, was the large spikes that jutted from the ground, which were adorned with rolls of barbed wire, and salvaged robot parts. However, despite the rather macabre decoration, she needed to charge soon. Her energy stores were low, and while the remaining charge could keep just her head alive for almost a year, she had an entire body to support, and that wasn't even considering her laser.

She knew the only chance she had was to use her laser, even if it would put her at a critical power level, but hey, there was another assaultron here. She could just take her charging station.
As the metal plates guarding her face opened up to reveal the powerful beam, something landed in front of her, exploding with a bright blue flash. She couldn't even process it as her body was knocked back, many systems shutting down in the process. As she tried to maintain function, her visual processors failing on her, she came to the conclusion that she had been hit with a pulse grenade.

If you listen closely (especially in KL-E-0's case) you can definitely hear lingering tones of "Why are we talking, when can I kill you?"; the kind of tone you'd get when you're talking to someone and you just want them to go away and die in the worst way possible. Honestly one of my biggest disappointments when it comes to things like videogames is that because our society doesn't accept stuff like sex, it's forced to either be alluded to or just not included.
