Yep it really is that short. I think the first part was basically a proof of concept demo. He's been working on the first chapter for a long time which is supposedly 3-4 times the size. It was supposed to be out last month (maybe even Nov I can't remember anymore) but like every other game its been delayed repeatedly for various reasons.

Some people like to hate on it for a couple of reasons, some admittedly kinda justified. Off the top of my head;
-it's not exactly in anyway well optimized, doubly so if anything complicated is being done meaning it can chug on occasion.
-can require some work to run it, not much work really but for some reason installing net frameworks, different versions and the like really winds some people up.
-There's been a lot of really bad RAGS games due to the lower barrier to entry leading to it being tarred by association.
-It's fucking masochistic to develop for, seriously, you don't know man, you just don't know...
Shame really as there are some really great RAGS games out there that some people are just too blinkered to ever give a chance.
Speaking of that game Officer Chloe. I look at the game and feel like I'm missing something everyone else sees, like I'm playing a different game. I tried it and it seemed like one of those awful generic porn games that's set in some alternate reality where every person is some sex starved molester except the main character. The police chief basically tells you to whip your tits out to conduct an investigation and if you don't follow that the guy berates you and molests you (because the main character is too stupid to lie).
Am I missing something that makes the game worth $4k a month or is it genuinely awful?

Turns out all the main assets are just stored in the open on their servers so that the flash part of the game can just access them as required. This also means if you have the right url you can just go straight to them yourself. I have absolutely no clue if there is a better way of doing this or a way to just see the entire file tree for a website but by starting with the following 2 links you can see what is most likely every scene in the game.

This is Hypnoslave, but the game is not great. Fights are way too important and way too difficult. I kept putting all of my level ups and money into the servant but I'm on the second girl and am getting my ass kicked.

Hypnoslave is interesting, but I'm waaaaay more interested in the body horror aspects. Turning the servant into a horrifying cyborg always gets my interest and the art in the game has the right degree of fucked-upness. Parts of it actually remind me one of the Clive Barker Twisted Souls figures, Szaltax. Makes me wonder if it wasn't a heavy influence on the designer.

The room on the bottom right has permanent upgrades to the resources you get every 'turn'. Just click on the buttons that show the little animated clips rather than the normal buttons. You can pull in tons of resources every turn with little effort, then use them to upgrade your character, and that's with the resources you lose by refusing to fight. I've got one highlighted in this shot. Also note how much I'm getting every turn. It's not a hard game by any stretch of the imagination.

It goes up as you level your servant, so if you keep her at, say, lvl30 and just avoid all the fights, you'll only ever lose a set amount. Build up your income and you'll be so far ahead, you'll never worry about skipping a fight again.

They aren't common because writing well takes some amount of skill especially for porn. Any idiot can take a bunch of 3D models and pose them to mimic sex to use as pictures for a game. It's also the reason why most of the games with 3D models have absolutely terrible writing.
The few good ones are pretty much always the same. So many text games start and then go absolutely no where because the creator has no skill in writing and is hoping to use fan submissions (which they won't get because they haven't proven they can do anything yet) to become the next Fenoxo.

One thing that I think can improve the experience though is if you create a culture for specific races and work with the taboos/traditions of the culture and possibly how they might clash with the player character's own taboos/culture. Being able to interact with that culture could add something that can help make sex more fun than just a random encounter. Of course that tactic might not work for every monster type but working with or against the culture and trasitions of a strange/foreign society can present a lot of fun opportunities IMO.

Text scenes, minor spritework. Sierra Lee has talked about getting art drawn later on but that seems to be something that's not in the cards just yet unless she finds an artist. That said, I enjoy the plot and characters, plus there's some interesting side mechanics. I like to think of it more as a good RPGMaker game with sex scenes rather than a pure porn game.
Just starting the new update and I have to say the new save system is very nice. 99 slots (up from 16 last update) and the saves not only tell you your play time and party composition but also your levels, location, wealth, and various things like so it's far easier to figure out what the hell you were doing.
Oh, new options menu too, with instant text speed and autodash options. I am liking these changes.
Maybe I'm missing something but how the hell do you do the fights in hypno slave? The broken english explanations have me confused.

The programmatically generated masturbation diary text mentioned in the previous blogpost has had quite a lot of additional work put into it, mostly to add flavor and variety. The code was also refactored to support third-person text, so on schooldays during which random events do not occur, the son will now sometimes daydream sexual thoughts about his classmates, teacher, or mother. The sentences the generator spits out can still be a bit clumsy, but hopefully you'll agree with me that they're all at least somewhat erotic.

It was a text based game that would play in browser. The main themes were fantasy and transformation and the entire game was supposed to be illustrated by a few artists. I'm pretty sure what I just wrote didn't help in the slightest. I do know that on of the artists was fairly popular and was promoting the game through his art.

Quite liked it. I was looking forward to how you were going to deal with the MC just being a disembodied voice but going this route is fine as well. I felt the pacing was actually a bit quick for a game format, personally I think a slower progression would be more enjoyable. This was a complaint many had for rouge like and I know that the setup is far different here but the same general idea applies, I'm looking forward to how you are going to amp up the tension though. There are areas the art could be improved but I liked the general idea of what you were doing and I'd like a slightly more polished version even better. Found it kind of funny/weird that Korra was admonished for having small breasts, pretty sure she's at least a D, (I remember a silly graphic dedicated to proving that back in the day).
Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to seeing more.

more than tense dialogue I was suggesting a more gradual slide into sex and submission. I know your game is a lot different than rouge-like or even akabur's stuff but building up the sexy content slowly can be really effective in a game format and in the same way building up to the mental changes can make them more effective as well. Have her bend a little before she folds.
This might be best as advice for future projects at this point though if you think that sort of thing might be too hard to put into your current narrative. It's definitively something I'd like to see if you can pull it off with this one though.
The animations were rough but I liked the intention there and they spiced things up a bit. I'd keep them. They could definitely be cleaned up a little and that would improve the experience more. I would like to have a more unobscured view of the main scene a little more often and I've got mixed feelings about the disembodied nature of the hands and dick.
I went through three of the four scenes (didn't catch the fourth). I'll go back and get the other later. I enjoyed the variety.
Started up Noxian Nights last night but I'm not seeing a whole lot to do. Did two quests for Cnal, then he up and vanished. The quest to bring back the lumber to the guy outside the mine seems to be broken - he won't take it, just says something about finding a new line of work. I know I have the right item because I couldn't pick it up until I accepted the quest from him.
Grinded to level 12 and can just manage to beat the Lust Ghouls now, but the only place to "go" is a locked shack in the woods.

This is amazing. <2 hours of mapping, 10ish poses in DAZ studio, no actual custom scripts (no text skip, no button to hide the text window, no resolution fix, no altered main menu, not even an altered textbox colour) and a couple lines of text.
Basically 1-2 days of work and an hour to set up the patreon, with monthly contributions, naturally.

You're not wrong. There's officer Chloe, supercreep, adventures of Tara and now this all with the start of something that could end up being good one day. (And that's just what I've seen in this general, I'm sure there's more).
I would feel much more comfortable backing one of these if there was actually a completed past project though, that's for sure. A lot of these patreon games seem to come from new developers and stall out at about 10-20% development which makes me very hesitant.

Was worse though, setting the art aside there were too many long winded slow introductions without any payoff and then it bugged out. I appreciated that they had art for several characters but they did almost nothing with any of them before it bugged out at what I assume was the end of the demo.
Really felt like both of them played RJ130528 and basically reskinned it as a demo in their chosen art styles.
They both could do interesting things with the idea or at least be fun eventually though.
