You use pngs with an alpha channel (one where the "thing" is in white and the "not thing" is in black). Renpy is good, but it's not made for action gaming or keyboard controls, so you might hit some snags with that.

I've done all of the basic, first lesson(s) with her, called "Show Yourself". However I can't seem to start the second tier, "More Openness", when I click on it Genie stats "I suppose the alcohol will ease her mind" and then I click continue and then Genie says maybe later.
Now I've constantly been giving Daphne Dumbledore's Wine; figuring if I give enough to her it'll make her at ease but nothings happening.
Now on the Guide it seems to imply that there is content for the Tier 2 and Tier 3 Lessons with her but I haven't been able to do anything of them and I can't redo Show Yourself, Genie says she's already learned that.

They both have their strengths. The hands and upper body on the left one are stronger, but the hips could be a bit lower and the legs get kinda messy. The face is cute and has more personality, but is not as "on model" as the right one. The right one looks a bit more like portman, and the hips/legs work a bit better, but the groin is a bit too high on the body, the bottom line of it should be closer to the line where her fingers start to curl in.

drawing takes a while to learn, if you want to learn that from scratch I recommend drawing 9-12 hours a day if you want to get anywhere within a year. If you're not that eager 5-8 hours is okay for 2 years.
Drawing takes a while to learn as there are tons of mechanics to all kinds of things. You have to learn anatomy, line of action, shape language and all that basic stuff. Then you need to learn to render, understand how light affects objects. Like how light wraps around certain objects or passes through our skin to give a faint red glow. There's all kinds of stuff to learn so if you want to draw. Pick up a pencil and never put it down. The road of art is a long one.
For writing? Just start writing. Never stop writing. I don't really know what else to say? Read a book on grammar and avoid writing in tropes? I'm not a writer so I'm not qualified to give advice on this.
For coding, Ren'Py is super forgiving for beginners, it's clear and structured and is easy to figure out. It takes a bit more to do things other than it's intended genre (visual novels) but it's possible. I don't know about other things since I'm not a coder so there's that.
In the end, do whatever you want to do and just go out there and do things.

Tropes and cliches aren't inherently bad, even overuse of them can be a good thing.
The biggest advice for writing is to write something you would want to read, and learn to express yourself, like in your spare time jotting down your thoughts and feelings. It also helps to study the language you're going to be writing in, even if it's your native tongue.
Really though, for these types of games, the writing isn't a big concern.
Here's the game development experts back again saying how easy everything is and how writing doesn't matter.
