Finally got aroud to watch this. It's suprisingly enjoyable.
What is your favorite old anime, anon-kun?

Did you watch the movie or TV version?
>>144145285TV at the moment (haven't finished yet, but I think it's pretty good for a 30+ year old anime). Currently downloading the movies, are they good adaptations? Normally these kind of movies trigger fans, so I'm guessing it's the same case here.

Yeah they're pretty good compilations that touch up on the animation errors a lot and throw in a few extra moments like this. Obviously wouldn't recommend them over the TV show but they're a great companion piece as opposed to the Zeta movie compilations which were a total mess.

I'll have that in mind, since I'm planning on watching the whole Gundam series by release date. I'll probably make this same thread a year from now if everything goes smoothly.

It all happened so fast.

TV series is better. The best part of 0079 is the final episode and the movies kind of mess it up bychanging things to make Char more competent.

Man, those last episodes made having watched all those cheap ones worth it.

Funny you say that because all the episodes after like episode 15 or 16 had the already small budget drastically cut even more. What you saw was a group of people passionate about the show they were working on trying to make what they thought at the time would be dead forever to go out with a bang instead of them getting a high budget.

Yeah I know the story, but the difference between most of the middle episodes and when they return to space are still pretty fucking drastic
