Why did I just now discover this? This is fucking fantastic.
I'm may be only a few chapters in but I don't think this scene can be topped.
The "crossroads" not being the actual roads but instead the shadow cast by the crucifix is brilliant.
I didn't know Robert Johnson was real.

Luckly you only discovered this now, because not a year ago the official status of this series was "cancelled / eternal hiatus".
Hiramoto picked it up again after he got more popular with Prison School.

Cancellation.
Me and the Devil Blues wasn't doing so good, it really is one of a kind for Hiramoto's career, his resume is composed of comedies and erotic comedies, his readership probably didn't want anything with a serious work.
Me and The Devil Blues was put on hold for years, some say cancelled, then Hiramoto went to create Prison School which his popularity soar the skies, Me and the Devil Blues resumed serialization a while ago.
Hiramoto is working on two series at the same time, that's why Prison Schools takes breaks and the story is stuck on Namek.
