In Frontier TV we had Grace, Leon, president Glass, Bilrer. They all knew the truth about Varja and the plan to kill the queen and take the planet. Even Alto at some point learned about their plans and still agreed to help them. They all were doing (or supporting) Varja extermination, they all were ready to risk lives of people on Frontier.
So was Grace and Leon evil? Yes. Alto? No, he is obviously the good guy. But why did he agree to help Leon then? Was president good or evil? This question is much trickier. What about Bilrer?

Walkure are part of military unit, but they do not have lethal weapons, they don't kill anyone. The opening segments show the Brisingr Cluster getting two colony fleets, with the main landing points for each being Windermere and Ragna. The fleet at Windermere was even older than the one at Ragna and landed first but I can't tell by how much from the segment in episode 1.
The fleet that went to Windermere was centered around a Megaroad ship and presumably had an SDFN with it.

Not the other guy, but from the stuff we've seen so far she looks like a tragic character who can still stay passionate. Abandoned/left behind by her creators, lost her memory and purpose, but she still gives it her all and keeps her strange personality quirks. They've not given her a whole lot of screentime, but she's still gotten a few scenes with some insight to her character.
For a couple of examples, she was casually humming the Var song because she thought it was interesting, and when she couldn't get the ruins to react at all, she tried a lot harder next time until it worked.

Correct on the first part. It could have been the original Macross and transferred over to Xaos as part of their planetary defense contract for example, since that's their typical mission after a colony fleet lands anyway. Maybe it was cheaper to have a private company maintain and operate it than to keep that large of a NUNS garrison there.
Who knows about the one at Windermere, but it having been destroyed in the war isn't a bad guess. If it survived the war it might escorted any evacuees and then been reassigned as well. Regardless there's no sign of it thus far.

Habitation density I assume. The islands have been getting bigger over time, Island 1 in Frontier was huge compared to it's equivalent in Macross 7. Megaroad colonization ships only carried like 25,000 people, and the SDFNs had a small colonization city segment that only housed 10,000 people.
I mean yes they could do better as far as absolute numbers by doing it with a ship and no dome etc, but consider just how long people stay on these ships. Potentially more than a generation. So a city segment gives you a compromise between being able to pack people in and an environment that people will be able to handle psychologically.
At least that's my best guess.
