Berserk and HunterxHunter are great. One Piece and Jojo are less great, but win in the imagination department. All four are among my favorite manga.
SnK I haven't read, but I saw the first 11 episodes and it was crap. Based on what I've seen of the manga's art, I won't be reading it any time soon.
Tokyo Ghoul I had to quit six chapters in. What a heap of garbage. All the main character did was whine about how he's so DIFFERENT and no one UNDERSTANDS him. I could not handle that pure, crystallized teenage angst.
I haven't gotten around to One Punch Man or Boku no Hero yet.

1. HxH. Amazing characters, fun fights, an overarching goal, but a lot of focus on the goal of the arc, and fucking Kurapika. I love it, and it is endless sufferring.
2. Berserk. Great story, world-building, and very interesting characters. The God Hand are some of the most interesting villains I have ever seen.
3. Jojo. Wacky fights and fun characters. Stands are broken. Poses. A bit too wacky
4. One Piece. It was amazing, but the fucking Time Skip killed Part 1's momentum.
5. Shingeki no Kyojin. The plot keeps this alive, and the mysteries lead to more interesting mysteries. The action is good, and that "any one can die" vibe it had was very good, and I hope it returns when another major character dies. My gripe is that almost all the characters are way too one-dimensional, and they need to get to fucking basement fast.

My other post was just meant to call you out for your retarded idea of "character development", but I guess I'll respond. Luffy's character development largely happened before the series even started, both the events with Ace and Sabo (which shaped both his desires for adventure and freedom), and with Shanks (which gave him a goal and someone he wishes to overcome). And although I'm sure you'll dismiss it, but his battle prowess is a definite measure of him getting smarter, since Gear Second exploits his unique physiology in a unique way.
The fact that Luffy still goes running off without asking questions, trusts his instincts, and asks strange creatures how they poop is one of the most endearing qualities of the character and you're faulting him for his consistency. Luffy's consistency is a huge catalyst behind what's going out in the OP world, in a world where an imposing world government oppresses a large part of the world and powerful rogues oppress the rest, Luffy is leaving a trail of changed people and even entire countries.

If so many things of the scale that happen with Luffy and crew happened with anyone else in their world, they'd change.
Moria changed, many of the Supernovas changed, Cobby, Helmeppo, etc. and none of those conflicts came even close to Luffy's struggles.
Not even the first actually meaningful deaths of the manga changed him. The only change was him paying homage to Ace with fire punches.
If you're telling me that OP's character development is only achieved through power ups and that no psychological improvements can be made on the characters for the sake of familiarity then I guess OP isn't for me anymore.
I guess I just blind. Usopp's training in the island to overcome cowardice in the end was just a power up, he's still a coward for the sake of comedy (God Usopp was great however).
Consistency isn't a bad thing, but you can make improvements upon it. Even more so when the subject of consistency are people, who are so volatile and adaptable.
