Spoiler-free Rewrite synopsis for animeonlyfags:
Rewrite tells the story of Kazamatsuri Bond, a 27 year old agent of U.N. Special Ops (UNSO).
Bond was an edgy kid, he enjoyed killing bratty children's parents in front of them.
He fought the terrorists of the Greenpeace conglomerate with every drop of his blood, no matter how many dinosaurs they had.
Both factions were fighting over a nuclear device called the Lock, which could destroy the world.
During one such battle Bond was defeated, and put into a coma because of the nuclear device.
Now at age 27, after waking from his coma, Bond decided fuck it and to enter school again, because he still looked like he was 17 from nuclear radiation.
Well he actually has amnesia as a side effect, but he just wants to live it up at school like he never got to.
He wanted to get a girlfriend, mess with his best friend, join a club, become a TV reporter and grope some girl's tits.
To get all of this, he joined a club where he reported on Paranormal stuff with the other members.
Little did Bond know, the members were all undercover agents of UNSO and Terrorist Greenpeace!
His childhood friend also turned out to be the girl whose parents he killed. Apparently she resurrected them into plant zombies, because she's a magical sage.
One friend is a UNSO top agent, one friend has a servant who is Bond's alternative universe self, one friend is literally worse than Hitler, and one friend is a walking biohazard.
If that wasn't enough, the Lock turned up again, starting another war. The Lock is actually a cute deadpan girl, with an obsession for Bond. She sneaks into his bed at night and haunts him.
To top it all off, Bond's blood is now nuclear residue which he can shape at will!
Now Bond must choose a side, but no matter what happens, the earth is fucked either way.
Unless of course he can become a tree, build a canoe with his wood, fly it to the moon and terraform it. That would solve everything.

Now say you knowHaruka is going to die in a bus crash no matter what.This changes the statements meaning completely and Kanata is telling you directly Haruka cannot be saved. Don't bother coming back and trying.
It is a writing trick were a statements means something completely different once you know a different context. Many games and anime do this early on as a reference that only people who have seen the whole show will get.

the VN felt exactly the same way though. I played an entire route (chihaya) and had almost no idea what was going on with kotarou. you also have no idea what the fuck is going on with kagari appearing everywhere until way later. same with the alternate dimension.

But how does Kanata know that Haruka can't be saved? My memory is vague but was she in the dream world too? I know Haruka snuck into the bus to be with their class, I think Kanata was in their class from the start. But only the girls who had issues were in the dream world.
Though I'm assuming Kanata ended up in there because she gets a route in EX.
Which would mean she's completely aware that Haruka can't be saved, as well as herself. Which is also retarded because if she knew they were both going to die, why did she care so much that Haruka killed herself in a dream world? If she wasn't in the dream world, then she was Kyousuke's NPC he created.
Knowing about the dream world raises more questions than simply Kanata knowing her sister was dead either way, regardless of her not being able to assimilate into society.
I'm guessing I'm missing information here because I haven't read EX, but I heard Kanata route happens as a sequel to Harukas, occurring in the real world to solve the problem once and for all.

All the girls in LB were kinda meh but gave me the urge to fuck them all endlessly. They all have broken personalities that all lined up perfectly with my fetishes. Komari would reset her memories letting you fuck her whenever, Haruka would let you fuck her however you want, Kud is naively cute and good for a rape, Kurugaya is a sex fiend and so is Mio. And Rin is retarded.
Haruka was the girl I would want to fuck the most because of how broken she is, and would destroy herself completely for any form of validation. But her sister, Kanata Futaki, is probably the best girl after you find out what she does for her sister.
But if you're asking which is best out of the main girls, I liked Kud the most because she was the cutest. Even though her route was kinda shit.
Best girl in Rewrite is probably a toss between all of them except Chihaya because she's a retard. I love Lucia because everything about her reminds me of myself on too many points. Kotori is also tied for best because she's so much fun.
Akane is just meh to me because I never cared for her. Shizuru is cute as all hell but I never really adored her a lot personality wise past her cute moe because her backstory tragedy is rather bland.

No shit, no one can fucking understand what she feels. What the fuck does Kotarou know about her life and suffering? She suffered all her life being bullied, feared, rejected and had to stay away from other people. And then some asshole comes to her and tells her that all that suffering was just so that she can kill herself and it's the best thing she can do rather than be experimented on.
The problem is the way the ending was done because it didn't end on an emotional punch despite being written to have it.
The route ended with Kotarou snapping Lucia out of her suicidal path by saying ''LIVE FOR ME, LIFE FOR LOVE GODDAMN IT''.
Before Lucia had gotten romantically interested in Kotarou, she just saw him as this only guy she had a future with but wasn't sure it would work out. Like two pandas being brought together doesn't mean they'll fuck or fall in love.

Without love it cannot be seen, if you turn the chessboard around, means that with biases you can only see things you dislike. If you love something, you'll only see the positive aspects of it and be blinded by the things that might be flawed. That's what love does to you.
But when you greatly dislike something, it becomes hard to look at any positives and you only focus on the negatives.
That line alone is something that keeps happening whenever I see people arguing online about things they like or dislike. Hell, even discussing Lucia, people dislike it but can't even bring themselves to see any positive parts, only that it's shit.
Duality requires people to acknowledge the good and the bad and be content with what you have. I can never understand how this can be seen as 'shit tier' theme in relation to themes of causality, truth, love and empiricism.

Even the nips hated it, R07 had to spend 2 fucking episodes afterwards, which felt like an epilogue in both of them, explaining what the ending actually was.
"Without love it cannot be seen" literally gets taken in as an insult for not understanding R07's thoughts during that fucking mess of Ep6.
