The Sokyoku and the Baraggan's Axe were actually Sealed Kings (Kikoo was the first Shinigami and Arrogante was the first Hollow)
The Kings always reincarnate but it was decided to Seal them along with Nemu's Sword and Others long before Yhwach decided to attack.
The last time they were alive was when they were young and training with Yamamoto.

Not that the arc could ever fit into canon or is even likely to make sense according to canon rules....but Real Zangetsu/White/Hollow Ichigo not being affected by Muramasa doesn't make sense. The show's writers thought OMZ was Zangetsu.
