By the end of part 4 it got solidified as my 2nd favorite part, now just under part 7. Glad to hear you're enjoying it, but I HIGHLY suggest when you get to the Highway Star fight you listen to the Highway Star song itself, that combination is fucking amazing.
Also, parts 1-6 aren't erased, part 6 wraps up the original universe, so it's still canon. Parts 7 and 8 are set in a completely different universe though, so they're seperate stories which still fall under JJBA

The ending of Part 6 only affects Part 6 itself and a small amount of Part 3 and the universe that 7 and 8 are set in has nothing to do with the one 1-6 are set in. And trust me, everything after Part 3 is better than 2, it just takes time since Araki tried doing slower paced stories and it really pays off.

You've heard wrong I guess. Pucci tried to eradicate the Joestars with the reset and do spoilers, but he gets killed before he can make a full cycle and so the universe is in a paradox and reverts itself back to the original version except where Pucci never existed so none of Part 6 happened. The rest of the Parts are unaffected except the main cast of Part 6 get to live normal lives in the Pucci-less universe. And then Part 7 is a reboot because it's from a universe with absolutely nothing to do with the original one.

Part 6 was the end of the series and then since Araki liked writing JoJo so much his new manga was basically the same thing but readers were getting confused so after 23 chapters they started putting JoJo's Bizarre Adventure at the beginning of Steel Ball Run and moved Araki to Ultra Jump where they just let him run free and write whatever the fuck he wants. Pretty much. It fuses Japanese and English wordplay in a cool way. Basically you take the Japanese spelling of the English word 'three', and then make three single-letter changes to it to make the Japanese spelling of another English word which gives it another power. For example;
0 - Su Ri (three)
1 - Ri Su
2 - Fu Ri Su
3 - Fu Ri Zu (freeze)
Because of how complicated it was and the fact that the reader had to know some English to get it was part of the reason it only ever used that one power but still, it's a really fucking cool concept.
