I've taken it upon myself to reboot the series, seeing that there was only one translated chapter ever finished, and it was off of a series of Indonesian translations.
I'll have the first chapter mostly re-typeset and edited soon, but everything after that will require new translators, cleaners, and others. Lucky it's only 3 volumes, so it's not a terrible task to take upif anyone is lurking and wants to help...

You know. Katyusha ain't really that bad a commander. Her idea of taking hill 203 was actually very sound, considering they had no idea that fucking skycancer existed and she wanted to exploit the pershing's poor moibility on steep terrain. She also made the initiative to break through the tanks stalling Maho and himawari, made Leopon to crash through the building props to outflank some Pershings, and she's willing to do some crucial support roles like sacrificing her T34 for Darjeeling, blocking the shot that would have hit Anteater team, and finally ramming Rumi's Pershing so that Erika could have a well placed shot at it.
She's basically the Napoleon to Darjeeling's Duke of Wellington, and her biggest flaw is getting too aggressive whenever she manages to seize an opportunity to attack.

The problem with modern tanks is that weapons improve faster than armor.
When HESH made steel armor obsolete, designers decided to focus on firepower and mobility because protection was a lost cause.
When composite armor showed up to counter HESH, designs got more bulky.
Now we have sabots and rockets that easily punches through composites.
In response, counter measures like reactive plates are currently being developed.
Tanks didn't become obsolete because of HESH and they won't become obsolete because of modern AT equipment.

You really need to ask? Just go look at Syria, or really any reliable source of their performance. It's practically a souped up T72B3 anyway which is hot garbage to begin with, unable to fire with accuracy to 1.5km on the move at more than 15km/hr. The T90 was a VERY incremental upgrade, more of the electronics than anything. The 2A46M is still crap to begin with, almost forcing one to conclude that the Russians simply accepted the lower kinematic performance of the gun because they figured 'the missiles will do it' and relaxed the requirements, more to give them the benefit of the doubt before accusing them of outright stupidity than anything else. In the tank biathlon, the basic, turd-simple frontline Chinese MBTs, the Type 96Gs, danced circles around the Russian crews in the T-72B3sin both mobility and gunnery, as long as their engines worked. And that's their shitty older MBT they have a ton of, China's newer shit is easily more capable than the T-90 especially for the fact they ditched the 2A46 (THANK FUCKING GOD THEY FIGURED IT OUT) and it's shit-tier 125mm caliber ammo for a domestic L7/2A46 hybrid in 120mm some models, with pretty good performance and definitely better accuracy. The T-90 is still hampered by its T-72 derived machinery (such as the stabilizer used all the way through to the B3 and original run T-90s that made accurate fire above 15km/hr impossible), scattered production blocks, and the fact the current production T-90A is derived from the Indian-modified T-90S featuring a new welded turret which isn't much better.
And there's only like 800 of them. Even the Abrams still shits on them, especially in gunnery. Good on the Chinese for taking steps away from the biggest mistake in tank armament ever.

As far as leveling the page goes, it always ends up being half a degree off in either direction and never looks quite right so I usually don't bother unless it's particularly egregious.
The font doesn't have an em dash so I just used the original. When I touch it up I'll replace it with a stretched en dash.

I use GIMP which has lines you can drag out to where they're needed, but for some reason I can never get it aligned both vertically and horizontally. Maybe the originals are just skewed or something.

Sometimes parting them out, depending on punctuation and how the flow, helps tremendously.

Of course it is. If it's not there in the text, and the bubble that corresponds with it doesn't denote any special things like exclamation or question marks, then I would usually guess with a period. The whole idea is how does it sound.

See how they all sound different, even though they all are technically the same? Typesetting is not just putting words on a page, but allowing the art to literally speak to the reader. The reader can guess what is going on by the image alone, but the words help bridge that gap between the known and unknown.

I'll say this: do what you think looks good. If keeping a similar font works great, then go ahead. If it is too big, or looks ugly, maybe finding something else to work would be preferable.

The T28 was only really useful in breaching the entrance. I'm reluctant to say it forced Ooarai into a worse tactical situation given that Ooarai missed the opportunity to shoot off its tracks from around the corner and thus halt the entire advance. It couldn't even score a hit at only 40-50 meters range, for fuck's sake.
I wish they had simply gone with a KV-4 or something, and saved the T28 for Ooarai in S2.
