When you see groups that big in an MMO they tend to not be a large group of actually skilled players. They instead are just a small clique that may have some skilled people in it using dozens/hundreds of others as disposable farming tools.. Eg in log horizon Krusty leads DDD and has top tier 1 of a kind gear out the ass. Meanwhile his 3rd in command's gear has a ridiculously drastic decrease in quality.
Shalltear generally had help from the guild members since they wanted to be cheap and not pay gold to revive her if they could get away with it.

I can think of several uses.
#1 is the fact that due to being in the top 1% of humanity, she should have access to multitude of Martial Arts and a great understanding of them.
#2 is the fame she herself has, which can be used to advertise and endorse the Sorcerous Kingdom
#3 is that once all that is done, she can be used to help train the rookie adventurers or sinply be given a position as a guard captain in E-Rantel or another prominent position in order to make the people feel more at ease.

It's likely Leinas has some Martial Arts abilities she can teach/explain, on top of NW etiquette such as dancing and mannerisms.
She can replace WN Brain's and Arche's roles at the same time (Brain was captured for Martial Arts knowledge, Arche ended up having some use due to her eyes and knowledge of NW customs).

In the intermission they mention that Thousand seeing whatever locked herself in. What happened was is that when Nazarick ported in and Sebas got sent above in volume 1, she got hit by the anti-information spells after seeing Sebas and thought that he cast them.
