Hisoka goes after strong people specifically or kills in situations where people should be wary of it, and he seems to prefer fair, straight up matches. Prince Bateman is just a run of the mill serial killer, who tricks young girls into coming to his room so he can murder them for not being into philosophy.
I guess it's not a huge distinction, but Hisoka is basically symptomatic of a fantasy world filled with powers so he's easy to think of at a distance, but Tserriednich is the sort of sick fuck you could potentially find in the real world.
