Goku and Vegeta aren't that kind of people. Beerus has lived for millions of years, and he has never heard of god level saiyan until Goku. There's no way they would've participated in any multiverse tournament. Zeno only met Goku recently, when there's only 12 universes left. The other 13-18th universe was already destroyed before he came in contact with any saiyans that mattered.
