I was a bit bored and decided it might be interesting to try to see how the Precure ratings might translate to _actual_ expected viewership, and what fraction of the total viewership that demographic was. For that, the ratings needed to be weighted by how much of the total (Japanese) population that that demographic represents. The census data I used was a full age breakdown from 2014, the most recent data I could find.
The all-individuals rating (in the total column) was a recalculated figure based on what percentage of the total population should have been expected to be viewers. There was a consistent skew of ~4-5% between that estimation and the actual all-individuals rating that was reported (which is in red right after).
- Kids 4-12 have consistently been ~31% of the viewer base since Doki, the stablest of any demographic.
- GoPri's actual viewership might have been around 5-10% higher than the other 3 seasons, based on unusual gains with kids (~70k) and F2s (~130k).
- Mahou's ratings are only up to episode 14, do not include the expected summer slump, and are more optimistic than we should expect for the year as a whole.

How do get into Pretty Cure?
There are so many series and seasons that it's a little overwhelming. All the online guides basically say "it's all good", which isn't helping so much. Can I jump straight into Go! Princess with you guys, or is there a continuity and stuffs to prevent me.

GoPri is a perfectly good place to start, though it's last year's series, not the currently running one. Heartcatch and Futari Wa also get suggested quite often as entry points. Just start one and after a few episodes if it's painful to continue, just try a different one, they're different enough from one another that you just might not have liked the style. There is no continuity to speak of between the years (other than two of the early years being sequels).
If after three or four different series, you still can't get past 3-5 episodes, then just tap out, Precure definitely isn't for everyone.

I wouldn't go so far to say a good amount, it was around the average amount. But if it there was no QUALITY, it would just be a completely different series, there's so damn much of it. Even the art style looked like it was chosen to make up for it.
As far as the rest of the content goes, sure, it's pretty good, it's hilarious, it often dealt with real feelings, some of the relationships are exceptionally well handled, others barely at all, and how good the villains are is up for debate. (Other than Westar, he's undeniably amazing.) But I still think its consistency problems went beyond just animation.

Fresh only really felt weak during the infinity thing and Bukki's lack of anything going on. Mktn had her potential taken by Setsuna, but she still managed to shine in all of her episodes regardless.
As for the villains, it's certainly Eas (because of her surprisingly intense breakdown before being redeemed) > Westar > Soular > Northa. How far the gaps in-between those characters are is the real question.
