If they eased up on the flashbacks and crying it would have been an AOTS contender. That said, I haven't watched shounen in ages and it did indeed remind me of those fun times as a kid.
Not a big fan of Deku's dynamic with Bakugo though, in fact I might have found the latter insufferable if it wasn't for the seiyuu.
