To explain a few things from the other threads:
- His hair is blue because Akira Toriyama is a weirdo. He mentioned his hair always being blue in the manga, because Bulma's hair is blue as well. Some manga pictures showed him having purple hair as well, but he doesn't remember that. It's kinda stupid because young Trunks still has purple hair and Future Trunks had it in Z.
- Mai is alive in the future because not all humans were killed. After all, when Trunks defeats the Androids, the earth slowly gets rebuilt and people begin to live in peace again. She's still pretty young because Goku's death didn't interfere with anything Pilaf's gang did and so they became kids again, even in Future Trunk's timeline. The Dragon Balls only disappeared after Piccolo's death.

By the way, Universe 7 is most likely the only universe with several timelines. Multiple timelines usually aren't a natural thing, they only came into existence after Trunks used the time machine.

I think it would be best to keep it purple now, because after DBZ it's weird to suddenly change his hair color. It also looks too much like Super Saiyan Blue. I'd say keep Trunks' blue hair in the manga and the purple hair in the anime, but Toriyama wanted it that way and now we've got Blue Trunks.

Bulma's hair color was not known in the manga before the anime gave her blue hair, Toriyama rolled with purple later on during the serialisation
during BoG and FnF, he gave her blue hair for the sketches
Trunks had purple hair in the manga and anime during the serialisation, not sure when his hair color was shown in the manga though. Toriyama gave Trunks blue hair in the sketches for BoG though, probably to fit with his mother. Toei gave him purple hair instead to stay consistent.

Anyway, the anime created Bulma's blue hair before they even knew what color she'd have in the manga. She has purple hair in the manga, yes, which is why they gave Trunks purple hair in the anime later. I always thought it's nice, because it's more or less a mix of Vegeta's darker hair and Bulma's blue hair, so why not.
What I'm saying is: The damage has been done already, but they shouldn't try to "fix" it now and create even more inconsistencies.

I guess it's because he was designing for an anime, so he saw fit to change the color to match it. Oddly the blue tone that he used, and the anime adopted, is pretty different from the almost greenish hair that Bulma actually used to have before in the anime.

In both timelines Pilaf and co would still get the dragon balls and make the wish, it's the moment that certain event happens that can vary , like the delay in 17 and 18 appeareances and addition of 16, or Goku's illness kicking off earlier (or later?) unless they still made the wish around the beggining of the Cell arc in our timeline.

The timelines also distorted on the return trip too. Every trip he made, was another ripple in time.
So when he first went back, the timeline of the show was made, when he returned to the future, it created the timeline where Cell kills Trunks to steal his time machine. So who knows what happened for the third and fourth jumps and then it was implied that he made another jump to the past to tell them he killed the Androids and Cell, so two more distortions and now, finally, we have a one way trip to the past. Think about that too, they very specifically say that Trunks is making a ONE WAY TRIP.
He won't be returning to the future, there is nothing to save, he's escaping.

No, they were weaker in the future timeline. This is stated fact. Trunks knows Gohan's power, he said that whenever he would start to get the upper hand, the other one would join in because they were actually scared of losing. If Gohan could fight them one on one, he would win.
Comparing Gohan's power to Vegeta and his own should have been easy and the conclusion he came to was that they were stronger.

Just like Goku is inspired on the Monkey King, Bulma took the place of Tripitaka, the monk who controlled the Monkey King and took him as his companion during his journey to India. Tripitaka could control the Monkey King through a crown and a sutra. I don't know the backstory of Goku Black so I'm not sure if Bulma took him out of his forest but it's some kind of reference to DB and maybe to the original source. The Monkey King was a savage beast. Killing Bulma/Tripitaka is his way to say that he's free now
