And even in the mountain one, it was mostly just Oso taking the lead while Kara followed him around.

Choromatsu is the only brother with character development in the end. Osomatsu is one of the brothers with most potential yet he's shafted as hell, Karamatsu as well because they showed they can do more with him but simply didn't.

We had a similar talk some time ago, I think it was when the RPG event in HesoWars started and it was caused by the fact that Ichi could translate Kara's painful answer to something, people started speculating that Ichi actually knew that Kara was lying in ep.2 which is why he got pissed. Theoretically it could happen. Coincidentally they both want to eat somewhere and then they bury the ax, go in and it goes surprisingly well because the food is so good that they look past each other's faults for an hour and then it becomes a thing they do in secret once in a while when they aren't bullying or "mocking" each other. It's a common plot.
