The movie didn't need to explain how Mirai came back to life because there were already enough hints in the anime to know. The only mysteries are Akkey's mom and Mirai's ring. Although Mirai's ring did kind of have an explanation, about it being made out of her mom (I think), and that's probably related to how she had flashbacks of the bad things they did to her ancestors (who she shares the same cursed blood with, and it was shown that Mirai's soul is in her blood) so maybe that's how the ring can contain Mirai's soul if she dies, the same way a youmu stone will contain its essence, and which can be brought back to life if there's a fitting vessel (shown by Akkey absorbing the KnK's stone in his hand). And that vessel was spawned from the KnK's power and Akkey's strong emotions. They said Youmu are made from strong emotions, and the KnK has the power to create youmu as well, and if it can't spawn them from scratch, we saw it spawned Ayaka, which it absorbed, and Mirai "died" because it absorbed her, so one way or another, the KnK can spawn a vessel for Mirai. We also saw that Mirai created a puppet Aki inside of the KnK from her strong emotions, and that puppet floated to the border of the KnK and merged with the real Aki when he entered, which is more proof that these puppets can be merged with its proper soul.
The show didn't have infodumps about those things, but it was explained by showing it.

This movie better payoff, because this anime has mostly been CGDCT with occasional appearances by Mochi and other Market Store runners.
When I first heard of it I thought it was going to be about a girl and the interesting Marketplace that surrounded her.
Instead it's about a Girl and her friends and the marketplace is just a backdrop.
Oh and for some unknown reason they feel the need to include this talking bird and brown loli subplot.
Just finished episode 9 and it's the best hands down so far, but that's because it had a good focus on her dad. Also Mochi getting a birthday cake at the end was the cutest fucking thing ever. I didn't know males could be this cute and I'm straight as hell.
