She's the most decorated because she's the Iowa that got reactivated for Vietnam, while the other 3 weren't.
Because she was already overhauled for Vietnam, she was in better shape than the rest when Reagan modernized all the Iowas. She got reactivated first and made it in time to shell some arabs in Lebanon.
Most decorated because she had the most service time and opportunities to win battle stars.
If NJ is famed for anything, it's being flagship of the fleet, alternating with Indianapolis.

According to the Tabular record of movements, Musashi didn't sortie more than Yamato either. Her sorties (i.e. not just transfers to a new location or transport operations) were:
May 17th 1943 (Attu relief, cancelled),
September 18th 1943,
October 17th 1943,
June 10th 1944 (operation Kon, cancelled), June 19th 1944 (Phillippine Sea)
and Leyte for a total of 6 times.
In comparison, Yamato's were
May 29th 1942 (Midway)
September 18th, 1943,
June 10th, 1944 (Kon, same as Musashi),
June 19th, 1944 (Battle of the Phillippine Sea, same as musashi),
Leyte (same as Musashi),
November 8th, 1944,
and Ten-Go.
Yamato sortied a total of 7 times and actually got to fire her guns at a ship, so by all accounts she was more active than Musashi. This is partially because she was completed before her and survived longer than her, but the idea that Musashi sortied more is definitely wrong.

What part of planes do most of the work do you not understand? She's not a special installation that needs super daihatsu or tanks, she's a normal installation that can die easily to sanshiki.
