I can help with that.
Deku's is a really shitty MC. First, he has had no real character evolution since he entered UA. At most, he can now talk to girls better. But other than that, he still acts the same (seriously, can you name a situation where you can think "Yeah, if the Deku from 6 months ago was there instead, he would've pussied out' or something like that?). All his evolution is done though his increasing control over OfA, and that raises the problem of what to do NEXT. Sure, shonen MC tend to be static, but usually we get some character cast that he can bounce off to, and so far most of the focus has been on Deku and the secondary cast has been rotating every arc.
Either Deku finally control OfA, and you're left with a rather boring MC with a rather boring power (flying brick is nice but you can only do so much punching before it gets old). Or Deku unlocks TRUE POWER and get some extra quirk (which I think will happen based on the previous OfA owners vision he had). It's also pretty weak because it makes him even more special instead of the smart and inventive type. He can be both sure but one will have to take the focus.
Second possibility is that he never manages to control OfA during the story, which will be ridiculous with all the health issues he's supposed to be having with his joints or whatever.

Basically, All Might dying to me just means all of the "origin" characters have to internalize what All Might STANDS for rather than just their admiration of the man himself. They all will need to internalize WHY All Might was the way he was, rather than just, "Oh gee whiz he's awesome."

I like this series but the one thing that always kinda messes me up reading shounen is the whole "friendship" thing.
I don't really do "friendship" the way everyone does- like I'm in my mid-20s. I have 3 "best" friends and we're all literally like family. Like, my best friends know where my spare keys are and do not have to ask to show up- including my friends who live states away.
Me and my friends' families practically raised eachother.
I had people I talked to a lot in class, sometimes hung out with, and had a lot of fun with, but that's not really a "friend" to me.
Like, my idea of friends is like the whole, "A friend helps you move a couch. A best friend helps you move a body."
So the whole way "friend" is used in most manga kinda bugs me. Like, I certainly as fuck wouldn't call Bakugou a "Childhood friend" even if we WERE friends back then.

Bakugou's a decently complex character in that Hori does a good job of showing him trying to (poorly) handle his emotions. Everyone else is fairly direct and generally wear their emotions on their sleeves; my favorite panel of the last several chapters is Bakugou trying to stifle relief/happiness at All Might showing up. Like if it was animated you'd probably see his lips quivering.
The problem is that his outward behavior changes are reeeealllly subtle/slow which is bad considering Hori himself admitted he overdid it with how much of a prick he is early on. He started at an 11 on the asshole scale and is now simmering at like a 9.7. He needs de-edged a bit quicker- or at least he needs to emote (even privately). If there's anyone that needs a good fuckin cry in this series its Bakugou.

So my ideal next chapter is for All Might to survive, but lose virtually all hero time and AfO to die. So we have Shigaraki getting the personality power up instead and actually becoming final boss material (he has the back story to back him) and All Might ending up dying just from the transfer of power as foreshadowed by Gran Torino.
I know Hori doesn't have the balls to do it but until next chapter this will be my hope

That isn't how genetics work, the reason why the rates were lower in the past was because the abundance of quirk users was lower, thus they couldn't reproduce as much as normal people, as the ratio of normal to quirk users diminished since more normal parents had quirk children or more people began mating with quirk users and had quirk kids it became more common for children to be born with quirks.

The doctor is a logical insider, considering how not only is he a doctor, but he is in a position to keep tabs on many if not all the registered quirk users across the nation. Deku is definitely quirkless though, unless someone grew in a joint in his tiny toes.
