I'm sure she thinks he had his reasons. At that age it's difficult to break trust too easily once you have it, since most teenagers rely on first impressions to make long-term judgmentsunfortunately this isn't a habit that most people get out of in time for adulthood. Yusho could say a couple of odd things and Yuzu'd probably not give it too much thought until something actually happened.
I'm expecting this to be an arc where Yuya hears about how his dad did all this awful shit and claims it's wrong only to be proven wrong, and Yuzu sees how great (albeit controversial) everything Yusho is doing is, and then they meet and having really conflicting perspectives on the subject, creating MISUNDERSTANDINGS.
Or, y'know, they could meet up, hug for a minute, then get separated in increasingly contrived circumstances yet again.

My guess is Yuya will start to doubt in Yusho due to all the REEEEEEEE's he's been getting by the XYZ people including Edo. He'll meet up with Yuzu again in Fusion, in which Yuzu will convince Yuya that Yusho isn't a total douchebag, this could probably lead to a duel. They talk, Yuzu probably comforts him. Everything returns back to peaceful mode.After that Yuzu gets captured by academia, which makes Yuya fall into zetsubo again

Because the writers really dick rode Johan. his crystal beasts fucking suck yet he's helareded as the strongest of the gajin duel academy students, even stronger than pro duelists like Edo and Ryo, I mean, Pegasus put him in the same league as Yugi,Joey and Kaiba and Johan's Rainbow Dragon did what Clear Wing Synchro Dragon can do and they made it out to be an unbeatable god monster and every character that interacted with Johan instantly loved him and Judai practically was gay for him to the point Yubel took him personally just because she thought Johan took all of Judai's love.
The guy was a mary sue character from beginning to end and was completely absolutely sameless about it, He's even the only GX character whose archetype has fucking pendulums and both of them are him! I feel like the real reason why people dislike Synchro is because it was essentially a development arc for a ton of characters and thus it spent more time developing characters than plot. Really the only plot in Synchro we got was the whole syncing thing, Hitotsu-ni, and Dennis revealing shit about Academia. Even when Yuya and Yuri finally met, no one in-universe really cared since it was sidetracked by Yugo appearing, then Hitotsu-ni, and finally Yuzu teleporting them away.
As much as people love development for characters, watching a weekly dose of it without the kind of plot bits Arc-V had during the first season was a bad way to handle the arc. Watching it in a binge is no problem since you aren't forced to wait 7 days for Yuya to finally walk out of his hotel room and talk to someone.

GX is pretty popular in Japan. Even more than Zexal, 5DS and Arc-V combine so a Movie woudn't be that impossible.
