Sure, the main character is acting like an imbecile when it comes to how to go about handling his relationship with Ako, but who wasn't a complete idiot about relationships at his age (if you were as engrossed in MMOs as he is)? So like for people who don't know, here's a summary of the fake story this episode was based on.
Some guy named 374 plays Raganrok Online with two female players called Tsukimiya and Ako. Tsukimiya and 374 have an online sibling relationship and she addresses him as onii-chan.
Tsukimiya invites 374 to go to comiket with her, but he declines. Instead, 374 plans a real life meet up with Ako for that same day. However, Tsukimiya says she'll go to pick up 374 for comiket anyways and reveals she knows his home address.
374 is freaked as hell and asks Ako for advice. Together they confront Tsukimiya online and tell her to knock it off. Tsukimiya accuses Ako of being a witch trying to steal her onii-chan. 374 and Ako give up and decide to avoid her.
On the day before comiket, 374 receives a text from Tsukimiya saying that she'll be there to pick him up at midnight. 374, scared shitless, calls the police. Tsukimiya arives at his home and calls out for him, but he doesn't respond. Afraid that the witch has stolen him, she takes out a police baton and tries to break down his door. 374 reveals himself to calm her down, but is hit repeatedly by the baton. The police arrive and decide to send her home, not sure how to respond to her screaming about how she needs to save her onii-chan from a witch.
Sick of her shit, 374 tells Tsukimiya that a witch has cursed her home. Later on, Tsukimiya's parents show at 374's house pissed that their daughter refuses to enter their house due to some witch's curse bullshit.

Hours later, 374 receives a phone call from Tsukimiya's mom, apologizing for earlier, but also saying that their daughter has run away from home. Fearing for his life, 374 flees his home and hides out until his meet up with Ako.
374 and Ako safely meet and start hanging out. Unbeknownst to them, Tsukimiya followed 374 and stalks them the entire time. Still underaged, Tsukimiya waits outside a pub as 374 and Ako spend a few hours drinking.
Afterwards, 374 and Ako leave and head down an empty steet. Ako suddenly collapses and 374 turns to her, thinking she just had too much to drink. Instead he sees Tsukimiya behind Ako holding the police baton. She declares that she is going to kill the witch and slams the baton down, but 374 blocks it with his bag. Tsukimiya then screams the famous words.
STEP ASIDE, ONII-CHAN! I CAN'T KILL HER!
At this point, 374 is frozen in fear and has no idea what to do. But then Ako suddenly gets up and lariats Tsukimiya, knocking her down. Tsukimiya is handed over to the police and is forced to receive psychiatric help. 374 quits Ragnarok Online forever.

My problem with it is it appears to be going for some weird in between romcom and harem comedy thing, and I don't think it's working terribly well. So we're already going on this absurd setting that not only is all the people he primarily interacts with online are beautiful women, they are all in very close proximity in real life, so we've clearly entered totally vapid harem territory, yet then absolutely fucking nothing is done with it. Which then feels like a waste, because why the fuck are you going to have the "twist" be that he is around all these beautiful women in this impossible scenario, but keep it a romance between the protagonist and a singular character throughout? I think I'd just rather it be that vapid harem situation, since the plot is already ridiculous and impossible to relate to real life, so just go all in on waifus.
