Episode 99 was great. Loved it. And to think that the Synchro arc had to end for things to turn exciting again.
In this episode we finally had the entire cast interact with eachother again. We had them interact with their monsters and environments again.
Basically. It brought back what was lost stepping into the Synchro arc. And it's all exciting again.
That said. Episode 100 was really cool too. But very weird, even for being a recap episode.
For starters, almost half the recap was of episode 99, which aired back to back to episode 100. That was the weirdest thing.

In 96-98, he learns from jack how to fully express himself through duels and realizes that he should use his plays to embody what he wants to do in order to really embody the sort of togetherness his ideal serves to create.

And I doubt Kaito will really kick him back to the start of his development. The distinction of Synchro dimension as opposed to kaito is:
Synchro dimension was always receptive to a challenger's words if they proved themselves worthy; Kaito, as we know, is a brick fucking wall. So even with Yuya's development, he wouldn't be able to make Kaito EGAO as he is; only issue is that the doesn't know that.
