Characters in K-On!! were actually pretty solid, and their development and personalities lead to a touching and consistent conclusion (ep20 and 24). Plus Naoko Yamada was behind it, this show didn't have to use cheap fanservice to be appealing.

KyoAni's worst show in a long while. No plot until the last two episodes, and even at the end there were still several unanswered questions, such as how Ruru came into being. Plus, Kurumi was a worthless addition to the series, as she was only relevant in her episode.
