She is DnD character, with following clear rules and roleplaying system (since its based on tabletop session, akin to Lodoss war as well). So author cant just make up her stats - she is within the rp system, just has uber equipment and channeling demon/divine power.
Its kinda nice to see how she gets better equipment, and changes class setup - i.e. initially she wielded sword, then lost it - wanted Gaudi`s sword of light (thus took him to party to steal it eventually), and switched to dagger since got melee fighter to protect her while she casts.

That's entirely wrong, Lina could cast dragon slave well before getting those talismans, it's her signature spell to the point it lead to her reputation and nicknames like the enemy of all who live.
The spells she uses that need the demon blood talismans is the ragna blade and giga slave, there's is other spells that need it as well but I don't think lina casts any of those in the anime.
