I seem to not be alone in my love for and appreciation of "SPIRIT CIRCLE" by Mizukami Satoshi. Next week it's over. We're trying to capture the magic of Spirit Circle threads by rereading the entire thing in anticipation.

This is the most depressing timeline imo, dying right there made it feel empty, like something is missing. The story then segues into Fuuta finding the landmarks around town which gives that timeline some connection. Really good storytelling.

I think the bandit leader that kidnapped Houtarou worked for him in some of his other lives.
My question, though, is how reincarnation works with the many-worlds stuff we get introduced to with Lafalle. Is every parallel universe your reincarnation? Where do you end and other people begin? Mizukami's got a neat cosmology set but I something doesn't mesh.

I remember there was a time/space/"spirit" coordinate system (back when the explanations sort of made sense), so I guess the parallel universes are separated by "spirit" as well as possibly time. Maybe it's not so much "reincarnating" as there's strong bonds between certain coordinates.
