Of course I have a low opinion of Sanji when the situation involves attractive women, that has always been his character flaw. I can easily see Oda writing Sanji becoming lovesick and agreeing to the marriage just for comedy relief alone, anything for an opportunity to draw the crew, Nami especially, with blank eyes and fangs for feeth.

I never had much use for Buggy outside imagining how much cooler he could be if he utilized his devil fruit power like a stronger character would. His design was always fun for a pirate.

It would need a consistently strong force stationed with frequent relief brought in from smaller bases with the volume of pirates that go through randomly. The Marines seem stretched fairly thin across the world outside Headquarters and even the other strongest bases in the series shown have just one vice admiral who isn't always around. Being so far from Headquarters leaves them isolated.
Sure most pirate crews aren't very strong but you get ones like the Supernovas on occasion.

I think one flaw post-timeskip is that there hasn't been much focus on the Strawhats (character development). Fishman Island didn't really focus on any of them, neither did Punk Hazard. Dressrosa had that Usopp thing but that was more of a regression and redoing his pre-timeskip development. Hopefully with the upcoming focus on Sanji we get some new development.
I do like the tiny Strawhats moments sprinkled in, like them caring about Robin or that one Nami moment at the end of Punk Hazard. But I want more a la Water 7 / Enies Lobby like when the captain Luffy butted heads with his trusted friend Usopp or when they tried to convince their beloved nakama Robin that it's okay to be alive. That depends on personal preference, anon. We can all say it's shit but you might like it. There's no way to tell. It's something I read just because. I hate basically everything in it except 1 character who gets quite nice fights often. So that keeps me going.
A warning though. The beginning saga is completely different to what follows it.

-The Arrancar saga (Chapters 181-423) is a step down, but still worth reading if you like the characters and want closure.

The power counter shit hasn't really come into play until the most recent arc. Before that it was just straight brawls outside of Mayuri's fight in the Arrancar arc. And the comedy is hit or miss. It's genuinely funny about half the time and the other half is just funny faces.

Bleach is decent. It definitely has flaws and if you decide to follow it weekly then its a slog. There's a lot of shit that won't make much sense until later down the line and there's a lot of weird moments. But it does things well. Kubo is great at character designs and drawing people in general, he neglects to draw much else in most panels but it's still impressive, particularly for a weekly shonen.
Really the characters are what drive the story in Bleach. You'll find yourself liking both heroes and villains because they're decently written and the girls are great.
The first major arc is top notch in many ways though. Give that a read/watch and decide to keep going from there.
