Unexplained as of yet. They're listed as missing. Maybe they were in the digital world when the gate closed, and that's when they were defeated by Alphamon. So the 1 kids outside the digital world wouldn't know about their defeat, just that they're dealing with something in the digital world for a year, like what happened to them in 1. So from the point of view of the adventure kids:
02 group of 4 go to digital world, gate is closed, year passes, infected Digimon appear, partners appear, leomon comes back, then all of a sudden Kaiser.
Takeru's "Aitsu" to him was just a result of his character flaw being his REMOVE DARKNESS persona. Everyone else called him Ichijouji-kun or Ichijouji. Notice how in 02 nobody called him Ichijouji-kun when they knew he was the Kaiser, before he reformed.

Besides, 02 and Tri both made it pretty clear that "Digidestined" is what English-speaking kids call themselves in-universe. That, and "Tai" and "Matt" were established as nicknames in the very first episode.
So basically I consider the names interchangeable. If people prefer the Japanese, fine. I won't stop you. But using dub names isn't THAT big of a deal.

That's great to hear. Downloaded it to my phone the other day but haven't started it yet due to exams.
Is it turn based "evolve forward and back over and over until you get what you want" with multiple lines and multiple Digimon at once like Cyber Sleuth? Because that's all I could ever want in a Digimon game (especially with no grid based system). [spoilers]too poor to justify a vita or ps4, especially since all I'll want for it is one game and getting a new pc is more worth my money

Angemon was blue bubbles and a digiegg (also devimon was red bubbles and getting recreated in a whirlpool somewhere a few years afterwards)
Taking them out of tri can be achieved in ways that don't involve killing them. They still have to be present in the epilogue, remember?

DW3 is bullshit hard, prepare for rage and potentially restarting the game various times since you can die before you get a chance to save and you can legit walk in a high level are right after leaving the starting town, and it's one of those games that you die and go abck to the main screen
I've started the game several times in my life, and never finished it, last time was on PSP and got stuck in Waru Monzaemon, also only one specific version of the game contains one hard to obtain item to help you grind, I think it's only in the European version

Nah, you got up to 8 rookie digimon that unlock evolutions by increasing the rookie form stats and certain evolution levels.
You do not level/digivolve down, you just keep leveling until you have everything.

You might want to google that or get confirmation by some other anon. Since it's what I remember, dunno if It's right, but it really was only one versions that had something to help you.
And seriously look that up if you want to collect other of your favorite Digimon, you get them kinda already advanced in the game and grinding without story progression is unholy boring and slow.

Really the other anon is right, there really isn't a reason to suspect that the Imperialdramon that got its ass kicked and deleted was the real one. It got deleted and will probably find its way back to primary village so keep your panties in a bunch.
