Can someone explain why JoJo sucks ass after part 2?
Part 2 was fucking awesome. Funny, awesome battles, and characters, etc.
It just gets progressively worse and loses its charm and humor.
Part 3 was okay. But after that it just gets progressively gayer and boring.
Like I literally don't give a shit about part 4.

Joseph is definitely the best Jojo, because most of his victories are due to luck or him being a trickster, rather than being a powerup fest. Also, his character is genuinely interesting, unlike jotaro who is a typical edgy loner fedora

The reason why part 2 was the best was because it made you feel the characters more than any other part. They met overwhelming odds, trained and battled them, and defeated them. You never expected what was going to happen. The cliffhangers were the craziest part and Part 2 had the best ending music to an episode. Part 3 was ass because it was focused more on Polnareff rather than Jotaro and you knew they were always going to win, so there was no anticipation or excitement. The formula was always the same, bad guy shows up, they hurt someone in the group, then jotaro oras them to death, then the story proceeds.

Also first in 1 part and maybe in 2 were much more interesting and dramatic. Every enemy felt overpowered and very dangerous to the point where main characters couldn't win without great psychological tricks. It also wasn't just about who punches other first, but there was freezing flesh, breaking necks, tearing off limbs etc.

Honestly I think every part is good in different ways, even ones like Vento Aureo that are seen as weaker have some aspects the others dont (it has some of the grossest horror of the series and also the fights in part five have an interesting sense of momentum that a lot of the others lack).
I think it all comes down to personal preference really. Araki wants to do a different type of story with every arc, not many other mangakas (or creators in general) do that.
