I didn't expect Oishi actually had much to do with Hidamari, but I see he directed episode 1. That's the one with all the '80s looking CGI so I see some connection.
Too bad that was the last episode he did. There were still a lot of other really unique episodes in the season regardless. The bath house karaoke and Sae Hiro fight episodes seemed to have inordinate amounts of effort dedicated to them as well.
