Why does a country as obsessed with boobs as Japan consistently fail to draw them properly. Whether it's in ecchi, manga or just a lewd shonen, more often than not the boobs of female characters look like fleshy balloons glued to their bodies. I can't fap to that.
It's almost like the only ones who know how boobs work are a mere handful of fanartists. Seriously, how can you invest so much money in anime, have the medium be so obsessed with boobs yet fail to draw them in a plausible and appealing way?

But the human eye is also remarkably adapt at spotting fake shit. This is why even high end CGI often gives us a feeling that something isn't entirely right. Same with drawn tiddies: if they're horribly drawn, they give us a feeling that something isn't right. Our attraction to tiddies is instinctual.
