As far as I can tell, there are two kinds of Tomoko waifufags.
The first kind, which I think is the predominant one, are the dudes whose lives and personalities are as fucked as hers, and they see her as a kindred spirit. This shit is depressing, because as far as I can tell, the fantasy is fueled by the idea of having a waifu who is just as much of a lazy, socially inept slob as they are. If this were a real relationship, I can't see a good end.
The other type seem to be the ones that want to fix her. Like, take this broken wretch and slowly, gently turn her into a serviceable human being. Once again, I don't see how this would work long term because once those type of people actually achieve their goal, they lose interest in the person.
The only kind of person I can see actually having a successful relationship with Tomoko is someone who was incredibly patient, really had their shit together (to be able to compensate for her inability to do basically anything), and genuinely loved her for being a creepy little weirdo without the desire to imitate or change it.
If I ever met such a kind, magnanimous-ass motherfucker, I'd probably go gay for him.
