Furthermore, if you took a moment to look back on the "epic" culture of old, you'll notice how godawful it was in retrospect. Certainly "epic" at the time, but it's long been co-opted and so we've moved on. The images we post have changed, the jokes we tell have changed, the way we talk has changed, how we identify those who do not belong has change, and so on. All of it will continue to change.
I don't like the thought of anyone born after 2000 posting on here any more than you do, but it's life. There was probably a time when anons shuddered at the idea of anyone born after 1990 posting on 4chan, or online in general for that matter.

The reason why these places were ruined was because moot couldn't properly manage the boards with his life.
While /a/ is the special snowflake board where it was moderated nicely thoughout it's existence, other boards either have shitty moderation or virtually no moderation.
Maybe in /a/, if you told someone to fuck off, they would because the mods delete said threads.
Meanwhile in other boards, you tell someone to fuck off, they don't because the thread reaches 500 posts without the mods cleaning up at all.
Other boards never had the privilege of getting good moderation like Kinomod, etc.
