Hmm, I don't remember the fine details all that well, but it went something like this.
Tgurneu stalked boy Adlet during his training in a sneaky Kyouma form and started affecting him (I'm pretty sure it was a long process). Basically he not only made Adlet fall in love but also gave him the concept of "love" itself, because during that time he was a revenge focused brat and Atro's worst student. I think he made him dream about Fremy or something like that and got that image stuck in his brain along with "love". Like that he could understand Atro's lessons and fight to protect instead of fight to destroy.
Bunny and doge didn't reveal anything else IIRC, but we did get some small info on the Flower Saint and Majin. First they're affectionate of each other, and basically the Majin claims the seventh crest was made for her sake and that it would somehow "save" her. It's a part of the epilogue, I'll post it again in a minute.

Also it wasn't exactly obvious since there were clues but extremely difficult to solve. Pretty much. I actually was enjoying the show quite a lot. As said, it was a nice little twist to take what seemed like a standard fantasy adventure and instead made it a fantasy mystery.
But then the last episode ends with yet ANOTHER ROUND of 'wait, why's there an extra person' that rather than make me curios enough to read the LN, it just made me feel like a waste of time.

Having read the LN part that features him it really is two lines. They go into great detail but basically murder mckill had a desire to protect one day and he's still following that feeling.
He's just ridiculous in a lot of way during that volume. Bunny is outright trying to kill him along with demons and whatnot and he doesn't even waver in thinking he's still going to protect her after she outright stated she's against him.
It gets even weirder when she reveals to everyone the truth about Dozzu and her and he's still 'nope still gonna protect you' and she takes that as 'well you'll help me in my mission right?' and he's just 'nah your mission sucks I like the protecting you part though'
