I find this to be true as well. The 2-3 minute ones are usually extremely hyper but a 10 minute show generally has nearly the same content per episode as a 20 minute show without any padding.

You like this season more than the last two because you aren't a belligerent mouth-breather. They haven't even aired everything yet and people are shitposting about it, when there's already something airing for everyone and several shows that if nothing else are technically impressive.
My immediate comparison is the most recent Fall season which didn't have a single stand-out anime unless you liked One Punch Man. And god help you if you didn't because even the best shows from that season are shit in their own genres.
I think the problem most people have is that they don't know any of the series - not a lot of S2s and such.
That said, for whatever reason, I'm having a harder time picking up shows for the last two seasons, not a lot of stuff just catches my eye the way it did before.

Kind of interesting. The characters feel complicated not in a DEEP way, but rather just in a way that I want to understand the situation and all. To apply it hopefully for future interactions with people.
