22 volumes is perfectly respectable for a manga like this. In fact, it's impressive that the author could think up that much content already. Better than going on for too long and becoming stale.
Considering chapters are half-lenght, it's pretty good. I hope the author brings back the octopus girl for the final storyline.
I'm glad scans have finally picked up the pace in the past few months. I still hope it gets published in my country because I really want to buy it.
