Yeah. Very young children and manchildren.
I've watched a ton of magical girl anime and in terms of western kid's shows I actually quite like Regular Show and Gumball. But I could just never get into MLP. It was just too kiddy and girly.
I just couldn't shake the feeling that it was made for an audience at least 10 years younger than me and of a different gender. And that's the same feeling I get watching Glitter Force.

I read a review for D-Frag that was linked down below where he completely shits on the dub because 'Waah! It's not like the Japanese!' so obviously he's the sort of guy that gets really attached to whichever version he saw first and just won't accept anything else.
