The problem with /a/ is that its filled with people who don't fit in anywhere else, and there is usually good reason for this.
As long as its the "Other" category for anime communities," which it kind of must be, it will be a little shit for everyone.
I think its worth pointing out that most people on /r/anime actually like and enjoy /r/anime. I don't like it, but its also has a distinct style which is contrary to mine, and it is a style which many people enjoy.

Non-NEET here. I work 80+ hrs a week as a liquor delivery guy. It sucks having to go to work more regularly than anything else i do, but it pays for the stuff i like doing, such as a drinking beer and smoking pot all the time, and having a place for my girlfriend and dog to live.
