I used to be like you, OP. Then I watched some of the few good SoL shows, some other slower paced stuff. And you know, it's nice. Sometimes you want to fantasize about a life much more exciting than yours, and sometimes you want to fantasize about a life much less stressful than yours.
As with all things, moderation is needed, and a sharp line between fantasy and reality. The problem with people losing sight of those things is never the content of the fantasy, though. Thinking so is just a wish for everyone to be like yourself.

SZS is one of those things that's hit and miss if you speak japanese and have knowledge about japans past and present affairs, pop culture, manga and anime. On the other hand it's mostly just confusing as fuck if you're anything but a nip. It's supposed to be comedy, but if you don't get the references, kanji-plays and puns there's nothing to laugh about. So it loses it's appreal.

I'm not a big fan of SOL, I have tried to get into multiple series, but they're just so fucking boring. The only one I was able to finish was NNB. However, NNB:R is one of the best anime I've ever seen in my opinion. I just don't like talking about SOL because every SOL anime's fanbase is shit.
