Took long enough to actually get it out thanks to real life. Pretty similar to last year as most of the questions are the same except a couple.
Let's say it will have a December 28th deadline as you guys are usually really good about getting it done fast. I will try to have the result prior to 2016.

Well it's more like last year I felt like the best thing I saw all year was far and away the best, and a lot of people shared the same opinion since she came in second. The GSC Honkers came out great. Good pose, good paintjob, good everything. I'm probably biased since I love Honoka to bits.

Finally dragged it out of my closet. Looking at it, it's not that plain. The paint job is nice, with lots of good subtle shading. Her hair somehow looks properly fluffy, as do the ribbons. The reviewer on asahiwa did a poor job in capturing the colors. Looking at his shots of Flandre, it looks like his camera has a very difficult time with red. There's not much in it. Things tend to be cheaper on line. If you're after bargains hit up the cube stores. When I go I tend to shop for prizes, key chains and other character goods rather than figures. Those are the things which are a pain to find and expensive online.
Also garage kits, model kits and modelling supplies as you can make big savings on those.
Dolls are a whole other deal too, if you're into that.

Most stores sell for a marked up price. Only the usual store you can check online such as Manda have cheaper prices, I found 2 figs cheaper in-store than they were advertised online, while there (and I spent 4 months in Japan, checking Manda in person every few days), it's not worth going there expecting to get cheaper figs, just get them online.
Unless of course you are going there anywhere and have the luggage space spare to save on shipping, that's it.
And to note; they aren't really that expensive, America is just a 3rd world country in terms of wages.
