The TCG Archetypes are only broken because of the selectivity of the banlist.
Currently Burning Abyss are relevant in the OCG because of cards the OCG produced that compliments them. Outside of that, they are nothing more than a deck that shows up here or there since not everyone and their mother runs Soul Drain or Macro Cosmos.
It'll be the same thing with Kozmos.
If TCG Konami gave two shits about the game state, rather than maximizing profits. They would have made it so every deck has a chance while also making the newer archetypes appealing as well.

With PPSSPP you can emulate Tag Force 1 and 3 just fine which are kind of hilarious for how early in the game you can break the game (TF1 was literally just Chimeratech OTK and TF3 you just need to shit out Brionac and win).
Tag Force Special has the most new cards but presentation and OST is lacking, the GX songs are the only good ones out of the bunch and then some, but you can have Kaiba other 4 DM characters as partners (Yugi too but his VA is different), although only the cards and menu are translated, still fully playable.
And there's also the sims like ygopro that gets updated fairly often and even a toaster can run so you can make a deck out of any cards in the game, and it's fairly easy to find matches.
Moreover I personally find very little players playing meta decks there, so you can use the petdeckers as practice as you build your deck.
