EGS is worthless for games like that, DI got lower rating because people didn't like that it needed 3 itterations to be complete
It's very easy for games to get low rating on that site due to that sort of problem, look at Asairo for example that is easily one of the most compelling and beautiful eroge ever made but got shit on because it only had one true ero scene
DI isn't made like MLA either
The common route of DI is good and very entertaining.
The first route Kasumi introduces shit and is the low point of the game but it's not bad either, it's just the sort of route that will make you go "all that hype for that?! Damn I'm disappointed"
Think Fate route except a lot shorter since Kasumi's route is only 300kb, (the other routes are all 1mb+)
Starting with Kei's route, the second route, is where shit start to get into gear, the cast is fully introduced (half of the ennemies don't even appear in Kasumi's route) and the plot and setting start to make sense.
And the final part of Kei's route is basically fucking awesome, so good in fact you will go "damn the game can get better than that, I guess it's all downwhile from there"
But then Marie's route come and is amazing from start to finish with a final that will blow your mind and at that time you will think "damn I almost want to stop now there is no way the last route can be any better"
But then the final route, Rea, happens and bring the entire thing into a new dimension, the themes, all the characters bar none are shown into a new light and the ending itself is the perfect end to that journey
