This is just my two cents, but I never saw the Japanese as anti-SJW. I saw them more as having the attitude as "SJW? Is that something to eat?". The Japanese are not limited by the feefees of others (except in certain extreme cases like RapeLay, which I still consider a disgraceful example of self-censorship on the part of the Japanese). They write whatever they want to write when they want to write it, and people buy or don't buy it depending on whether or not they like it. The manga/anime/vidya industry is simply an arena of competing forms of entertainment rather than a pool of works deemed socially acceptable.

The dubbing companies just use the regulars that have been doing VA work since the 90s. Kids don't really get voice for in western cartoons either. The other issue is that western VAs are too embarrassed to do a high pitched voice to fit the original voice actor so it always sounds dead and deflated in English.
