Anything on the google play store removes manga series completely due to copyright issues, and some even remove lewd content for some stupid fucking reason.
Manga Watcher would be perfect but it's also buggy as fuck.
I have yet to find a better alternative than just outright downloading and reading on some viewer, but I'm a lazy cunt and don't like downloading series if I don't know I'm going to like it.

I just read on any website that isn't mangafox or mangareader. Usually has good enough quality that I don't give a fuck.
Downloading manga is too much of a hassle without a program like Manga Watcher/Manga Rock to easily click/download by chapter and read all within the same application. I pick up and drop so many series, and I'm following over 100 series that update fairly often. I'm not about to individually download 1 chapter from over 100 series every week or month or whenever it fucking releases. Too much god damned work. Manga Watcher tells me when it's upload on the website and auto downloads it for me.

Because I don't want to waste time downloading individual fucking chapters every fucking week. I don't watch airing anime either, because I don't want to download episode by episode. So I wait till a season is over and batch download everything I'm interested in. I can usually suffer through anime even if I don't like it much, so downloading it isn't a problem. By the time a season finishes I've usually finished everything I wanted in the last season, and caught up with a few things on my backlog.
With manga I pick up and drop it too often for it to be worth downloading, and releases are all over the place. Often I'd have to visit multiple scanlators websites AND remember every single series I'm following.
Using an actual app it manages everything for me and is 100x more convenient. I'm also not nearly upset over slightly lower quality pictures as opposed to the difference of streaming anime, where bitrate is shit and you have little to no options with subgroups, if it's bluray or not, and the selection of series is generally MUCH lower due to how much space it takes to host.
